Welcome to WDVR Radio's home on the web.
WDVR is a
family oriented, non-profit radio station. We take pride in getting to know our
listeners, providing local services to the community, and providing a diverse
range of talk and music programs, including a lot of music that you won't hear
on any other station. Our volunteer DJ's love what they do, and we are like one
big family. There's something for everyone at WDVR.
Dallas Vietty Musette Project- French accordion waltz music of 20's
- 50's known as Musette (http://www.musetteproject.com/)
Dallas Vietty's Musette Project
will perform a set of energetic French Swing Waltz
and Gypsy Jazz pieces led by accordion and backed up by guitar and drums. The
band takes its inspiration from the Paris of the 1930's where gypsy jazz and
traditional French waltz accordion music began to fuse. The Musette Project
expands and explores the genre augmenting the traditional forms and modernizing
the harmonies, all the while maintaining in the raison d'ętre of this genre: an
ebullient and infectious groove.

WDVR
is a Non-Commercial Radio Station. As such it does not air commercials but
depends solely on its listeners and local business owners for its income. WDVR
receives no federal funding or large corporate grants and is not licensed to any
university; it is a totally independent. All WDVR’s funding comes only from the
public it serves.
WDVR,
now in its 21st year of broadcasting, operates with a staff of over fifty,
unpaid volunteers. Our volunteers give of their time freely, to provide the
public air waves and the World Wide Web a uniquely diversified format of
programming, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. One hundred percent of a donation
to WDVR goes directly into the operation of the station-there are no salaries.
WDVR is licensed to a New Jersey non-profit 501 (C) (3) corporation therefore all
donations are tax-deductible. That means a donation to WDVR FM is a win-win-win
situation; the station gets its much needed revenue, the donor gets great
programming and a tax deduction to boot.
